Sojern Strengthens Executive Team with New VPs of Marketing and US Advertising Sales

San Francisco, CA October 10, 2011 – Sojern, the leading travel data and media company, today announced the appointment of Brad King as Vice President of Marketing & Vertical Sales and Chris Marrow as Vice President of US Advertising Sales. King will focus on strengthening the company’s vertical product and strategic marketing efforts. Marrow, who had been the company’s vice president for western region sales, will build on his success in that position to drive sales nationally. Both executives will be based in San Francisco and will report to Mark Rabe, CEO of Sojern.

Sojern’s New Boarding Pass and Social Integration Capabilities Take Off

San Francisco, CA, September 28, 2011 – Sojern, the leading travel data and media company, today announced the release of their new Boarding Pass design that provides highly targeted content to travelers that check-in for flights online.  As part of the new product, Sojern introduced new social integration features that will allow travelers to share their travel plans with friends and followers on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Sojern Founder Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 Central Midwest Finalist

Whitten is a previous regional winner of the Ernst & Young Technology Entrepreneur of the Year award. The group of outstanding entrepreneurs was selected by an independent judging panel made up of previous winners of the award, leading CEOs, private capital investors and other regional business leaders. The winners will be announced on June 7.

Mark Rabe to drive revenue expansion as Sojern’s CEO
Sojern, the leading travel data and content company, today announced the appointment of Mark Rabe as Chief Executive Officer. Founder Gordon Whitten, who has served as CEO since the company’s inception in 2007, will remain with the company focusing on next generation partnerships and product expansion plans. He will also maintain his position on the Board of Directors. Whitten is a former VP of New Product Initiatives at Intuit and a previous regional winner of the Ernst & Young Technology Entrepreneur of the Year award.
