In these last two quarters, we’ve brought in green experts to talk about the changes we can make in our day-to-day lives, encouraged carpooling to our Global Sales Conference in Omaha (reducing carbon footprint), eliminated plastic cups from our offices, and rolled up our sleeves to make our communities a little bit greener.
While there is more work to be done, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate our progress, and thank our amazing partners.
Achievements to Date
GiveMeTap provided reusable bottles, keeping plastic out of landfills and providing 150 people in Africa with five years of clean drinking water.
Our London Sojernistas participated in The Color Run UK, raising money for NSPCC, the leading children’s charity in the UK specialising in child protection.
We put together 200+ green cleaning solution kits, 50+ bottles of diatomaceous earth, and decorated vases to beautify families’ homes with Omaha Healthy Kids Alliance.
We volunteered at the Eco Center in Heron’s Head Park, San Francisco’s best example of sustainable solutions to adverse human impacts on the environment.
Our New York office participated in a self-analysis of their daily carbon footprint and how to reduce it.
Fontenelle Forest, one of Nebraska’s oldest conservation organizations, and Recology, a company that is re-inventing waste management and rebuilding ecosystems in San Francisco, came by our offices to talk about green initiatives and sustainability.
We’re excited to continue this program into 2015, so stay tuned for more updates!
