With hundreds of agencies, ad tech and media companies, and marketing divisions of brands vying for the prestige this year, we are honored to find ourselves on the 41 spot of the list. After doubling the size of the company this year, the fact that we’ve maintained our unique company culture as we scale is particularly rewarding for the Leadership team.

Growing Sojern & Sojernistas

This award, as with most successes at Sojern, is all due to our people (aka Sojernistas) all over the globe. Sojernistas are our most valuable and valued part of the company and we invest heavily in them. We offer learning opportunities both internally and externally from lunch and learns to an entire day of training and development at our Global Conference. The best part of our focus on learning is the expertise of our Sojernistas and their eagerness to share, mentor, and teach.

We also recognize that part of what makes a truly happy, driven, and motivated Sojernista is a healthy work / life balance. So, we offer paid flexible time off and really mean it. We encourage our employees to travel, especially to visit their coworkers in our global offices, offering a stipend to do so.

Employees Lead & We Follow

Part of what makes Sojern and our culture unique, is employee-led initiatives are highly encouraged and heavily supported across the globe. For example, two Sojernistas, wanted to make employee wellness a priority and started the SoFit initiative. On a monthly basis there are healthy meals, fitness activities like fun runs and spin class, and de-stressing coloring books for the office. Every office now has a SoFit officer and funding from the company to support it.

We also are proud of our Sojern Gives Back initiative, which was grown by employees and continues to be driven by Sojernistas in their individual offices. We give employees 40 hours a year to donate, volunteer, and give back to their communities as well as organize events around the globe for employees to make a difference. And finally, we place a great deal of importance on communication within the company. Every voice is valued here.

One great initiative started by Sojernistas is an internal podcast called Sojern On-Air. Two Omaha employees with a passion for podcasts interview different Sojernistas around the globe to understand more about what drives their work and the company. Everyone from our CEO to our Marketing Team is interviewed, allowing employees all over the world to connect.

Because we are so invested in our company culture and making sure our teams are supported and empowered, it's a real honor to be recognized by Ad Age. If you’re looking to grow your career in ad tech, check out our job openings and join our great team.
