We know travel and travelers better than anyone else. Travel is a massive industry that covers a wide variety of categories: hotels, destinations, attractions, transportation, and more. It’s a world where these aspects of travel are often intertwined, and it requires a partner capable of understanding the day-to-day complexities. Having unmatched access to this rich data and our expertise is what makes Sojern the easy choice.

Mark Rabe is the visionary behind Sojern’s journey to become the number one travel marketing platform. With more than two decades of senior leadership experience, Mark’s track record of success has translated to Sojern, where the brand has been a five time recipient of Deloitte’s 500 Fastest Growing Tech Firms. Prior to Sojern, Mark held various leadership positions at Yahoo!, Overture and About Inc. He currently serves as an active board advisor to tech start-ups. Mark holds a master’s in business administration from Duke University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and economics from Denison University.

Kurt Weinsheimer

Kurt Weinsheimer oversees Sojern’s Property division, which delivers AI-powered guest acquisition and guest monetization solutions for hotels worldwide. A veteran in travel marketing, Kurt has more than 20 years of experience in online travel commerce and media and is the force behind Sojern’s mission to build the growth engine for the global travel economy. Before Sojern, Kurt served in executive and leadership positions in start-ups focused on data, media, online travel and the outdoors including Netpulse, Spot Runner, Cendant Travel Distribution Services, WorldRes, and Patagonia. He was also founder and GM of the hotel division for Orbitz. Kurt received an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. from Boston College.

Carl Livadas

Chief Technology Officer

Carl Livadas leads Sojern’s technology teams, including engineering, science and optimization, site reliability engineering, and technical program management, focusing on developing new products, improving online ad efficiency, and driving AI leverage across operational, development lifecycle, and product initiatives. A researcher turned entrepreneur, Carl relishes in leveraging data, algorithms and machine learning to deliver compelling business value and drive company growth. Prior to Sojern, Carl led data science and engineering for Nanigans’ RTB channels, led the data platform and algorithms team at inPowered, and led Kayak’s deals, email and online ads engineering. He has also worked on cyber security research at Intel Research and BBN Technologies. Carl holds a doctorate in computer science, master’s in engineering in computer science, master’s in aero/astro, and bachelor’s degrees in computer science and aero/astro all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sanjay Wahi

Sanjay Wahi leads Sojern’s product teams and oversees product strategy and development for the Sojern Travel Marketing Platform. For over 20 years, Sanjay has honed his expertise in advanced data analytics, online marketing, and product development. Before Sojern, Sanjay held the SVP of product management position and analytics for Nor1 (acquired by Oracle). He also held the director of data insights position at Yahoo!, where he headed the teams generating actionable insights about consumer behavior and ad effectiveness. Sanjay also holds a patent for advanced processing and segmentation methods of web usage data. Sanjay graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor of arts degree in economics and holds a master of science degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also serves as an advisor to multiple AI and Blockchain startups in Silicon Valley.

She previously helped build Sojern’s destination business and returns to the company following senior leadership roles at Airbnb, Tripadvisor and Zartico. Sylvia holds extensive expertise at the intersection of travel, data, and technology, with a focus on helping destinations navigate industry change and unlock sustainable growth. Sylvia received a B.A. from the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts as well as an A.A. from The Art Institutes.

Prior to Sojern, Eric spent more than a decade at KAYAK, where he became the company’s youngest-ever VP of Advertising Sales, Americas, grew advertising ARR from more than $30 million to over $100 million, expanded the sales organization from single digits to more than 25 team members, and played a key role in the company’s IPO and subsequent $1.8 billion acquisition.

With more than 15 years of experience in online travel and hotel distribution, Céline has a demonstrated history of supporting hoteliers worldwide, with strong expertise in MarTech and the European travel industry. Prior to Sojern, Celine held roles at Orbitz Worldwide, OPODO, and Hotels.com. As a true industry expert, she holds a double master’s degree in applied European languages and tourism management, having studied and lived in Germany before starting her career in Belgium working for the German National Tourism Board.

Rakesh is an accomplished leader in technology and software engineering, possessing an extensive track record of deploying scalable, high-volume products for both consumer and enterprise sectors. Currently residing in Dublin, Ireland, he manages the strategic establishment of the Dublin office as the European headquarters and its development into a primary technological center outside the United States. With more than 25 years of multi-functional leadership experience, he has demonstrated proficiency in presiding over and expanding globally distributed teams. Before his tenure at Sojern, Rakesh directed Intuit’s e-commerce enterprise platform, which managed the payment and subscription infrastructure for their SaaS operations, processing an annual transaction volume exceeding $5 billion. Additionally, he spearheaded the migration of Intuit’s QuickBooks ProAdvisor Accountant product to the AWS cloud environment. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Mysore University and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University. Furthermore, Rakesh holds a patent holder for the development of a resource and services management framework within the networking and telecommunications domain.
